No. 514 Squadron RAF

No. 514 Squadron RAF was a bomber squadron of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War.
The squadron motto was Nil Obstare Potest (Nothing can withstand).
It was first formed at Foulsham in Norfolk in September 1943, equipped with Lancaster II bombers, as part of No. 3 Group RAF in Bomber Command.
It transferred to Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire in November, where it re-equipped with Lancaster III bombers in June 1944, and was finally disbanded at Waterbeach on the 22 August 1945.
