No. 500 Squadron RAF

No. 500 (County of Kent) Squadron RAF was formed as a Special Reserve squadron at RAF Manston on 16 March 1931
The Squadron was reformed on 10 May 1946 at RAF West Malling, equipped with Mosquito NF 30s, as a night fighter squadron. Later equipped with Meteor's, the squadron disbanded on 10 March 1957.[1]
