No. 1564 Flight RAF

No. 1564 Flight is an independent flight of the Royal Air Force stationed at RAF Mount Pleasant in the Falkland Islands. It was first formed in 1943 as 1564 Meteorological Flight at Mellaha, Tripoli, Libya. It was most recently reformed in 2007, by redesignating the former No. 78 Squadron, and currently operates two Westland Sea King HAR3 helicopters.
