Caption Cesenatico, Italy. 25 April 1945. Gathering round their flagstaff where the Union Jack flag flew at half-mast, members of No. 454 (Baltimore) Squadron RAAF observed Anzac Day with a simple but inspiring service, conducted by Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) J. Fred McKay, Padre. Sqn Ldr McKay later worked as Superintendent of the Australian Inland Mission and, like John Flynn, was Moderator General of the Presbyterian Church of Australia.
