Vandals?

You vandalized my page - what are you doing

Do not vandalize my page again or you will get the same —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chaka* (talkcontribs)

Criteria for Not getting a page deleted

So since I'm not quite understanding why you are deciding to recommend and have pages deleted

What would be the criteria for getting these pages to stay? Specifically for Kevlarlounge and Short Bus Racers

We have world records, there is video and stats to confirm this. We are know in the online racing world. We are not selling anything on our site, and promote tips and tricks, and write many FAQ's for PGR and Forza Series.

I am not understanding how any half rated band can post a page here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiny_Toy_Guns

And advertise their album list and buy page - but yet we are a community for giving advice and you find that enough to have the page removed

Would it help if we make an record a racing sounds album first? I can do that and put it online in 30 minutes if so

By the way - our videos on our site are not for sale, only for learning techniques on driving for free —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chaka* (talkcontribs)

Removed db flag

Hi - just wanted to let you know I removed the db flag on Blocked nipple ducts. The writing is pretty awful but it is a real medical condition so I don't think it qualifies for a speedy. I added a wikify and a cleanup flag as well as a stub category, so hopefully someone will tidy it up. Thanks! --Bookgrrl 03:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

RE: Dennis Calero

Dear sir,

As I have noted in the discussion page of my first article, Dennis Calero, I have submitted the matter to mediation. I am waiting to hear from them.

I have compared my contribution with the 12 reasons for speedy deletion and the standards for notability.

Dennis Calero is an award winning comic artist who has literally worked on hundreds of comics.

It is my first article, and I am taking time to build it slowly but well.

Please give me a chance to do so.

I'm afraid I have no idea what you mean. If the subject of your message has some bearing on the article in question, I can confindently say I've never even read anything even remotely to do with that on Wikipedia. Reply to your message about reposting Stick RPG 2

I did satisfy the concerns in the discussion in the discussion page on the article. I looked at the discussion, and the main point of it was that their was not enough evidence to claim that this game was even real. That is a complete falsehood, if you look at http://www.stickrpg2.com, which I have suggested several times already, you will see this game is indeed in development and is probably around half done. I am sorry to say that your message insulted me, claiming that I reposted it without a reason. Your message showed me that you did not even look at the discussion page on the article. November Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!)
Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach.

Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.

What's New?
The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one!
A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
The last AC meeting (full log)
  • The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
  • There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia.
  • The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested!
  • In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias.
  • A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted!
  • Shreshth91 informed everyone that he will be leaving the Esperanza council as life is rather busy; his spot will be filled by the runner up from the last election, HighwayCello.

Two weeks ago I couldn't even spell administratur and now I are one (in no small part thanks to your support). Now that I checked out those new buttons I realize that I can unleash mutant monsters on unsuspecting articles or summon batteries of laser guns in their defense. The move button has now acquired special powers, and there's even a feature to roll back time. With such awesome new powers at my fingertips I will try to tread lightly to avoid causing irreversible damage and getting into any wheel wars. Thanks again and let me know whenever I can be of use.

Anvil Media page deleted

It looks like you had deleted the Anvil Media page that I created as it didn't meet Wikipedia's guidelines.

Anvil has done some great charity work and I would like to add this but wanted to know if this type of content would get deleted? I would like to include much of the content that was deleted, but also include information on their charity work. Can you let me know if this is something that would get deleted?

Would I just need to create a brand new page again? Is this the right avenue to ask these types of questions? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Thanks, John jwmcphee@yahoo.com

List of Italian birds

I have removed your speedy delete tag from this article and I want to explain why. I simply do not see this as being a speedy. Minus the images, this would be a straight-forward list along the lines of several in Category:Birds of Europe. If there are doubts about the notability and suitability of this list then an AfD is the way to go so that there can be a discusssion. Please let me know if I can help, further. Drmspeedy template

I wonder if the version currently at User:Tonywalton/Drmspeedy might be an improvement. My reasoning is:

  1. I've noticed on NP patrol that often editors just remove the speedy tag(s) and add a {{hangon}} on the article. Assuming good faith perhaps an inexpert editor might think that's enough; hence my putting the procedure as two clear steps, "add a hangon without removing the speedy tag" and "make a case".
  2. As a lot of "speedyable" aticles do tend to be an editor's first (or at least very early) edit, possibly the mention of a "talk page" goes over peoples' heads, hence I've added a link to the relevant talk page in the template

The result looks like

User:Tonywalton/Drmspeedy

I've commented out the biolerplate notice and cat tag temporarily, of course.

What do you think? Tonywalton  | Talk 10:03, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

I changed the speedy tag on this article (which the author kept removing) to a prod tag, trying to assume good faith and all that. You reverted my edit with an edit summary about "new user" - was that supposed to be reverting my edit? Perel 04:21, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Ah - just saw your second message on my talk. I understand the concern that adding the prod is pointless; however, I've seen it work fairly well. I think there's still a lot of confusion among newbies about the whole "do not remove db templates" thing.. my normal NP patrol process for pages like this, where it's not QUITE a clear speedy, but almost, is to switch it to a prod, watchlist it, and if the author removes the prod drop a drmprod on their talk and start the afd. Most of the time I've found they leave the prod alone, perhaps it's not quite so scary? Perel 04:32, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

  • If you feel that the person is truly notable, then you would need to provide reliable, verifiable third-party references indicating this in the article. IMDB does not qualify as many non-notable actors and performers appear on that site. Thank you, --NMChico24 19:07, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

How dare you delete my message! Your page says you will reply to all of them!

Now to the matter at hand, you better take back that warning you gave me! I have done nothing but what I feel is good to Wikipedia, and some guy hacked my account, and suddenly I get tha LAST warning? What's up with that! Take it back because my account was hacked or I will report you to the Wikipedia staff for unfair management! --ChaosSorcerer91

Age category

Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:

  • Using an age group category, such as Category:Wikipedians in their 30s
  • Using a decade category, such as Category:Wikipedians born in the 1970s.

If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 12:51, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

High-maintenance

On this article, there is nothing written. It's blank. There are only a few tags.Coffsneeze 21:24, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Then nominate it for deletion if you feel that is appropriate. --NMChico24 22:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

How do I nominate it for deletion? Will it delete the previous versions of the page as well?Coffsneeze 19:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Bond girl redirects

I have redirected all these articles because they have been seperated into their individual articles. Eg. two articles

you have marked two articles for speedy deletion (Francesco Sorti & Rita Monaldi). i'd like to ask you not to delete them, as i will try to find some more info on the subject. however, i hope that other people, who know about them, would try to complete the missing data. thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wsssabin (talk • contribs) 15:06, 20 March 2007 (UTC).

Hi

Hi NMChico24 I saw you blanking the pages. Rather than blanking them simply insert with the speedy deletion tag on the pages. Sushant gupta 03:19, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I have been placing speedys on the pages. I've been doing this for quite a while now. I don't see any pages that I have blanked. Can you provide diffs? The only one that was blanked was blanked by the author, and I tagged it as such. --NMChico24 03:21, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Ok fine, I am sorry. I got it wrong. Sushant gupta 03:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

State legislators

I noticed you just nominated an article about a Maryland state legislator for deletion. (The state house of representatives in Maryland is called the "House of Delegates", and representatives to the lower assembly are called "delegates" as opposed to "senators", who are in the upper assembly.) WP:NOTE says that all current and former members of state and provincial legislatures are notable no matter whether they have other claims to notability or not.

I agree the article isn't written in a way that would let people from outside Maryland know that he was a state legislator, especially since most Americans would assume (I suppose; I'm not American) that a representative or legislator would be called that and not "delegate", but a few seconds' research did reveal that he is a state legislator. --Charlene 00:37, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

OK to remove {citation} tag?

Thanks for prompting me for the US News & World Report citation, on Cleveland Clinic Health System. I've added the reference link. Is it OK with you to remove the \{\{Unreferenced|date=April 2007\}\} tag? Tks.

There's a long way to go on that page, but it's a start. - BipDeBop 04:32, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

  • As long as you improve the article by citing large claims made, then the tag may be removed. Its purpose isn't to nag you, but to flag the article and invite other interested contributors to help improve it. I hope this helps. --NMChico24 06:28, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Deletion Tag

Hello, my name is Usman R. Mughal. As stated earlier I am in the midst of completion of this article, kindly NOTE that various issues regarding HMOS have been risen in regard to national interests and CureMD has nominateed it self on its submissions, such as application of EHR upto 2010 , CCHIT certification being a must, CEO's and Managers encoperate to maneuver benifits for free health care in third world countries, CureMD being one of the kind to being complete welfare institute in regards to Health Care, and striving to kill the myth of ideal EHR modules. From ground-up level having a streangth and an managment originating from the third world countries as well, the company has walked miles just to make benchmarks in Health Practice history, Not for the benificiary sakes of the company itself, but for the transperancy and the clearity in the history of medical health records. Various sights and references may be quoted in regard to this, If you permit me to continue with this article, I assure you alot of individuals and organizations vending in the field of Health Policies would profit form the shout-out CureMD hold's. Re: Anna Krylov (CSD A7)

Hi,

"Anna Krylov" article will be expanded over next several days.

Here is my reasoning for keeping this article as a chemist-stub: Anna Krylov is a modern quantum chemist. Her outstanding research received a world recognition, in particular for inventing new "spin flip" method. Recently she received several prizes such as 2007 Dirac Medal from the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists for "outstanding research on new methods in electronic structure theory for the description of bond-breaking, in particular the spin-flip method" and also 2007 Agnes Fay Forgan Research award from Iota Sigma Pi National Honor Society, for outstanding research achievements to a woman chemist or biochemistry.

Sincerely, Rospizd

Neglecting merging discussions

Hey,

I'm curious why have you neglected several merger proposals made by me within Notability Wikiproject, and made alternative steps without any discussions? The latest case is with International Ballet Studio. I mean I generally agree with your vision of those articles fate, but disagree with your approach to procedures. If other people started merger discussion, you could at least participate in those discussion with your "delete" opinion, and wait 10 days for other opinions. I know I'm a newbie, so is this me misunderstanding Wikipedia procedures, or you neglecting them? Thanks, --Futurano 08:14, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

  • See WP:BOLD. There's no point in waiting for consensus that no one really cares about. If I merge something that will offend someone, believe me someone will complain. Thank you, --NMChico24 08:16, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure... They also say "don't be reckless"... At least one user was mildly opposing deletion of that Fuji camera BTW. Well, I'll keep learning. Thanks, --Futurano 08:31, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Islamic Azad University of Rasht

Hello. I came across this page in the cat Wikipedia articles needing translation and was wondering what was your reason for putting it up for prod? -Yupik 09:56, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Twinkle misfire I would imagine. I don't even remember looking at that article. I have removed the tag as I'm ill-equipped to judge it in its current form. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. --NMChico24 10:26, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Not a prob. I figured I'd ask since I wasn't familiar with the article's history. -Yupik 11:14, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

FOAM (Organization)

You tagged FOAM as CSD7. It may not be notable, probably isn't but it does make some assertion of notability. Therefore I have removed the tag and suggest you PROD it or send to AFD if you feel strongly about it. JodyB yak, yak, yak 20:58, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Why did you mark XDS (article in progress) for deletion?

This is a widely used, NON-COMMERCIAL standard - fully appropriate for an article in Wikipedia - wat makes you think otherwise? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Medconn (talkcontribs) 10:54, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

OK - I see that you have taken it off now - thanks! Presumably you saw the page in the 2 minutes between me accidentally doing an initial save (instead of preview!) and the time I added some (at least stub standard) content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Medconn (talkcontribs) 10:57, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

OK - thanks for the clarification!

Out of interest, how did you come accross the new pages so quickly? - is there a way of watching for pages within seconds of them being created, or did you stumble accross it by chance? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Medconn (talkcontribs) 11:00, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Template:User New Mexican

A tag has been placed on Template:User New Mexican requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:19, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Norsefire / NF logo

Hi there!

You left a "fact" tag on the Norsefire page re: the National Front logo. I'm looking for references now; the NF article has the NF ("Siamese Twins") logo, but no reference for the torch. I vaguely remember the torch logo from when the Tories changed their logo to a torch (and drew comparisons with the NF), but I'm not convinced the torch is even relevant to the article... anyway, would you be happy if I removed both the torch reference *and* the "fact" tag, on the grounds that the Siamese Twins logo is shown on the NF article, which is wikilinked from the Norsefire article?

Nevermind, you've moved the tag to the part on the Nazi fascination with Odinism - that makes a lot of sense, it's a fairly dubious claim IMO. Cheers,  This flag once was red  18:42, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
