NMAM Institute of Technology (also known as Nitte Engineering college) is an engineering college in Nitte,South Kanara district, Karnataka established in 1986, initially started with three branches in engineering - computer engineering, mechanical engineering and electronics, today this is one of the premier Institute for Engineering and Technology in India attracting students from other states of India and from abroad, offering more than 8 undergraduate Engineering courses.

The college is run by NITTE EDUCATION TRUST which was founded in 1979 by the late Justice K. S. Hegde, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and former Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

College is situated in a picturesque environment, the village of Nitte, is an interior area of Dakshina Kannada. it is around 57 km from Mangalore. The various departments, laboratories,and hostels are spread out in a vast 100 acre campus.

This unbeaten industrialist is presently working as the Business Development Manager of Al Asry Factory for Electrical Equipments, Saudi Arabia. He was former executive director of Al Hilal Hospital, Bahrain, which went through major merger recently. Now he takes the chair of Executive Board Director of Al Shifa Hospital, Al Khobar.
