District 2-AAAA is apart of the New Mexico Activities Association. District 2AAAA includes five Northern New Mexico high schools with a student population of over 800+ students. In 2000 there were 3 high schools in the district: Española, Capital and Taos. In 2001 Los Alamos Joined and in 2006 Bernalillo joined.
Schools in the district 2-AAAA:
- Bernalillo High School
- Capital High School
- Española Valley High School
- Los Alamos High School
- Taos High School
- Bernalillo was 3A before entering 4A in 2006, BHS joined 2AAAA in early 2006.
- Capital was a 3A school from 1998-2000, CHS joined 2AAAA in early 2000.
- Española has a been a 4A school since 1983, EVHS was in district 1AAAA prior to joining 2AAAA in early 2000.
- Los Alamos was in 3A from 1992-2001 in district 2AAA, in late 2001 LAHS joined 2AAAA.
- Taos was a 3A school prior to 2000, THS joined 2AAAA in early 2000.
