Sorry, but I reverted your citing of the XBOX 360 as the console the trailer was running on, as we can't use youtube as a source. I don't really want to, as I am sure it is true, but we have to wait until a reliable source comes along. John Hayestalk 07:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I've changed my mind, and have re-reverted back to yours (but also left the other ref). I think in this case a youtube source might be allowable, but it still would be better to back it up with another source. John Hayestalk 07:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Style of English on Grand Theft Auto IV

I reverted your change to the spelling of instalment. Read WP:ENGVAR for reasons to change a style of English used, unless there is a strong reason for why a particular style should be used, there isn't in this case as far as I can tell, the original style should be used. In this case this was British English. In terms of what is in British, there are at least two words which I can find without much effort. If you think there is a strong reason, please discuss this at Talk:Grand Theft Auto IV#Spelling, and establish a consensus that it should be changed, rather than just going against consensus and changing it. Thanks John Hayestalk 16:51, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

In terms of the reasons you listed, having more American users is not valid, otherwise every article in Wikipedia should be written in American English. Rockstar is just as much a British company as an American one, that isn't a strong reason for change, and it is a subject that is just as relevant to British users as American ones (or Australian or any other form of English). [edit] Access date

Hello, I noticed you had a bit of grief with the access date field on the citation for GTA IV. Don't worry we've all been there. The best way around it is to use the ISO 8601 date format (yyyy-mm-dd e.g. accessdate = 2007-08-02) the Wiki software will spot it and automatically link it. And in response to your other edit summary, redlinks are a pain. - X201 21:59, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

In the cite web/news templates the accessdate should never be wikilinked, but the date variable should be used in the format [[2007-08-03]] John Hayestalk 11:00, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GTA IV release date

It's the second quarter of the fiscal year. This is not complicated.►Chris Nelson 07:07, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GTA IV Archive

Hi. When you archived the GTA IV talk page you removed some on-going discussions such as the one about leaks and pirates. Could you restore some of the items from further down the page and only remove the stuff nearer the top? Thanks. ChimpanzeeUK - User | Talk | Contribs 18:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Never mind, I firgured out how to do it. I thought it would be complicated but it wasn't :) ChimpanzeeUK - User | Talk | Contribs 18:13, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
In the future, it would be best not to archive any thread which has been commented on in the last 15-30 days. Cheers, xenocidic (talk) 17:04, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tone of your comments

"I wish I could shoot the people in the face who still think that Niko's not Serbian," is not the most helpful comment in the world. If the nationality of a fictional computer game character means that much to you I suggest you get a different hobbie. Oblonger (talk) 19:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
