Nizhneudinsk

Nizhneudinsk (Russian: Нижнеудинск) is a town in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Uda River (Yenisei's basin), some 508 km northwest of Irkutsk. It stands on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Population: 39,624 (2002 Census); 39,700 (1970).
Nizhneudinsk was founded in 1648 and granted town status in 1783.
