The Niue Business Centre (NBC) used to be known as the Business Advisory Services (BAS), the name change in late 2006 to reflect the changing focus of the development of the private sector in Niue. The NBC operates by one full-time officer and one part time officer, they have a weekly Pisinisi Niue Radio Programme on Radio Sunshine for informing the businesses on news and policies of Government affecting the private sector. The BAS Council is the governing body of the NBC, committee is chaired by the Minister for Private Sector Hon Bill Vakaafi Motufoou, committee members from Economics Planning Development & Statistics (EPDS), New Zealand High Commission, Niue Development Bank and the NBC itself.
