Hey there! I'm Nishkid64, an Indian-American administrator on Wikipedia. I was originally born in Hyderabad, India, but moved to the United States when I was 3 months of age, and I have lived here ever since. I am currently a member of the Class of 2011 at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
- Why I'm here
I first encountered Wikipedia on the web when I was doing some research for a history project. I felt that it was a highly reputable source since the encyclopedia took many different points of view into consideration. I have stayed with Wikipedia since, and I made my first contributions earlier in 2006.
I really like Wikipedia because it's a place where I can make contributions to society and meet new people.
- Interests
I am your basic philomath. I practice a belief that if it is out there, it is your goal to learn/know about it. I enjoy reading and learning about the world from the perspectives of others. I think it builds my character, and helps me help others. Some particular topics of interest include epistemology, molecular biology, macroeconomics, politics, ancient history, astronomy, classic literature, etc.
- What have I been doing lately?

- As Administrator
I became an admin on September 26, 2006 with a final vote of 60/9/4. There were quite a few people who expressed doubts about me being administrator, and I thought I would like to keep people up to speed. I have made over 7100+ deletions, 2200+ blocks, and 1500+ protections since becoming an administrator. I have established myself as a frequent visitor at WP:AIV, CAT:CSD, and WP:RFPP. I hope I will quench any doubts about my abilities as admin, and I hope to establish a fine reputation on Wikipedia.
