Niranjan Parihar is an Indian political commentator and News Television personality. He is having vast experience in various fields of Media and having strong personal contacts with veteran Political Leaders and Bollywood personalities.
Mumbai based journalist Parihar is well-known name in Indian political Reporting. He belongs to Rajasthan and basicaly from Mount Abu in Sirohi District. He completed bachelor's course in Journalism, BJMC, from Kota University as a Scholar. He has worked for The Times of India group’s Hindi daily Navbharat Times, between 1988 and 1990 as a Reporter, In Jaipur. Parihar moved to Indian Express group Hindi Daily Jansatta in 1992 as a Sub Editor, and till 2000 he serve in various front of news. He worked as a Resident Editor of Hindi Daily Pratahkal in Mumbai, between 2001 and 2003 for two years. Parihar moved to television journalism in 2003 as National Editorial Coordinator, for Sahara Samay Television Network. He was the Senior Producer of the award-winning daily news show Kuchh Khas Hai, and was particularly appreciated for his coverage of the earthquake of Kutch and Gujarat riots. Niranjan Parihar later quit Sahara Samay to start his own company, NewsOne. He is the member of the Press Club of India.
Parihar is simultaniously active in Politics also. He was Chairman of Rajeev Gandhi Rural Development Mission, between 1988 - 2002. Parihar is having close personal connection with many national level political personalities, like Former Vice President of India, Mr. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Congress M.P. Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Veteral Congress Leader & Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Mr. Ashok Gehlot, Mrs. Vasundhara Raje, Ex. BJP President Bangaru Laxman, Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Vilas Rao Deshmukh, Congress Leader Rajendra Darda and Surendra Surana. He has also played Mejor role in election management of few prominent parliamentarian of India. Parihar writes columns on Indian politics for leading Newspapers.
Niranjan Parihar is having also close personal relation with Bollywood personalities, like Raj Babbar, Dev Anand, Shahrukh Khan, Jaya and Aishwarta Bachchan, K.C. Bokadia, Mahesh Bhatt. Smriti Irani, Vashu Bhagnani, Sawan Kumar, Ila Arun, Shrawan Rathore, Yashpal Sharma, Juhi Babbar, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Sakshi Tanwar and off course Mallika Sherawat. He makes documentary films on Hill Station Mount Abu, his native place and other two on Bawadi’s and Palaces of Rajasthan. These both of documentary films won award in North American Indian fair. He has also played major role in Television Programme Production for various news and entertainment Channels.
