Talk:Nipple Ring-Ring Goes to Foster Care

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Just FYI

I removed the part that stated "Foxxy assumes her tormenter is Daffy Duck." After watching the episode, I can see how someone could have made that mistake. Foxxy does not say "Daffy!" She says "Dat's it," as in a way that African-Americans sometimes pronounce "That's it." The two do sound similar, but in this case she's not accusing Daffy. If a Daffy reference is noted (and later in the entry you can find one) it should be made only in the sense that Daffy went through what Foxxy went through and that the entire scene is almost sight-for-sight, word-for-word a parody of that scene from Duck Amuck. --Iwriteu 05:29, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Which is fine, but taking that out without rewording the sentence meant that the pronoun "she" no longer has an antecedent.Raymondluxuryacht 05:51, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No Such Episode?

This article apparently needs to be deleted, as the official website (comedycentral.com) for Drawn Together lists no such episode, indeed only seven episodes for season three. Is this some kind of elaborate hoax on Wikipedia (it does seem unlikely that this commercial-supported basic cable channel could use the word "a*****e"), or are the people running that site very incompetent (the only alternative explanation)? I have already deleted the description of this from the Bugs Bunny article. Ted Watson (talk) 22:18, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Comedy Central's episode listing is way, way out of date. This episode aired, and I have the tape to prove it. It'll also be on the Season Three DVD, which comes out in May. Check any online episode guide, they'll list this episode too. (TV.com's listing for it can be found at http://www.tv.com/drawn-together/nipple-ring-ring-goes-to-foster-care/episode/944334/summary.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=episodessh&tag=episodes;title;2 ).
As for them saying "asshole"... have you watched any other episode of this show? Or just about any program on Comedy Central, for that matter?Sandmaster (talk) 02:42, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Understood and accepted. And, no, by the time I was on a system that included CC, there were no longer any programs on their schedule that interested me. That was the original venue for The Man Show, which I watched in reruns on G4. Didn't seem to me they could get away with it, and it's not very old. (And please don't think that I'm overly prudish; I censored the word out of being cautious about the regs here, not a personal dislike of using it.) Ted Watson (talk) 21:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Comedy Central has gotten much more liberal about allowing profanity during late night hours in the years since they aired The Man Show. It's probably also worth noting that The Man Show was live action, and animated shows seem able to get away with more. Both South Park and Drawn Together use the A-word quite a bit. In fact, South Park has even used the S-word uncensored in at least three different episodes.Sandmaster (talk) 23:00, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
