Nimesh Kampani

Nimesh Kampani (born in 1947) is an Indian investment banker and a billionaire. He is the founder and chairman of the JM Financial group of companies. His personal wealth is valued at US$ 1.3 billion (according to Forbes.com), making him the worlds 897th richest man, and the 42nd richest in India.

Mr. Nimesh Kampani is a Commerce Graduate from Sydenham College, Mumbai, and a qualified Chartered Accountant. [1] He has vast experience, spanning three decades, in advising corporations on financial needs. He joined with Morgan Stanley in 1999, in a securities trading and investment banking joint venture. Ended his partnership with Morgan Stanley in 2007, selling his stake in brokerage for $445 million, and buying Morgan Stanley's stake in investment banking for $20 million.

He is currently the chairman of JM Financial. He also holds directorship in several prestigious companies. He works with son Vishal Kampani, and younger brother Ashith Kampani.

He currently lives in the posh area of Cuffe Parade in the city of Mumbai.
