[edit] Weld familiy motto
Nil Sine Numine is the WELD family motto, the Arms first being granted to William Weld in 1355, although this motto may not have been introduced at this time. It is rather more probable that the suggestion was made by L.C. WELD (Leonard Chamberlain? b.1836) to the Governor and not the other way round. The Lutrell Psalter was owned by the Weld family until the early 20th Century and it is, therefore, not curious to find the family motto inscribed within it. --James Weld 15:43, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merger
It would be very unwise to merge the Motto of the State of Colorado with the Great Seal of the State of Colorado IMHO. --Buaidh (talk) 13:26, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
