Nilothi

Nilothi is a small village of Shokeen Gotra of Jats, near Nangloi Jat, National Highway-10, Delhi. The most interesting aspect of this village is that the whole village drives its lineage from a single father Ch. Basti Ram. The jats of this village are further divided into four families. The written history of the village is available with the Bhaatt, a clan of Bhramins, who have been entrusted the job of writing history. The total land under this village is 4800 bhigha.

This small village has produced one Member of Parliament, Ch. Bharat Singh Shokeen, ex M.P. Outer Delhi (1984-89) and one Municipal Councillor namely Sh. Manoj Shokeen.
