- Actually yes, but more for the grammar. When talking about a potential future event, "if elected, she would be" is the usual way of writing it, whereas "will" is used in non-conditional constructions, like "when elected, she will be", which obviously doesn't apply here. --Delirium 00:48, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
