[edit] Numbering question
In the opening sentence, the subject is introduced as Nikephoros II Doukeianos. Does anyone know what the number (i.e. the II) refers to? In the list of catapans there is no numbering (unlike, say in the list of exarchs of Ravenna) and no predecessor of his bearing the same name. Contributor175 20:28, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
