Nikolay Kovalev (born 28 October 1986) is a Russian sabre fencer.
Kovalev won the bronze medal in the sabre team event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships after beating Hungary in the bronze medal match. He accomplished this with his team mates Alexei Frossine, Stanislav Pozdniakov and Alexey Yakimenko.
