[edit] Club career
Tsattalios grew up in Sydney playing for his local Carss Park Soccer Club, alongside former Sydney FC teammate Dean Bouzanis.
[edit] Sydney FC
Tsattalios first played for Sydney in the 2006 Pre-Season Challenge Cup while trialling with the club, being included in the starting eleven for the third-place playoff against Newcastle United Jets on 19 August 2006. [1] While further appearances in the A-League season proper did not eventuate, Niko remained in Sydney's interest and was included by new coach Branko Culina in the Sydney squad for the AFC Champions League 2007.[2] He made one appearance in the tournament as a substitute in Sydney's unexpected loss at Persik Kediri[3], and also played in a number of friendly matches against NSW club sides.
His place at Sydney was made more permanent for the A-League 2007-08 season, signing a one-year contract as one of Sydney's three youth players. Tsattalios appeared in all five of Sydney's pre-season cup games, including starting in their opening game against Queensland Roar.[4] He made his A-League debut on 12 October 2007 against Perth Glory as a second-half substitute.[5]
[edit] International career
In 2006 he joined the NSW Institute of Sport football program leading to being named as a stand-by player for the Joeys squad for the AFC U-17 Championship 2006.[6]
