Nikolai Vasilievitch Onovalov

Nikolai Vasilievitch Onovalov - a Soviet and Russian scientist, the colonel of the Soviet Secret Service ( NKVD )

Born on the the of January, 1915 in Vnukovo near Moscow. In 1938 awarded with an academic degree in neurology, chemistry and philosophy by the Academy of Medical Science of the USSR.

In 1941 as an officer of the Red Army he assumes control of the Russian field hospital in Bryansk. Rewarded for his merits with the Order of Red Star.

In 1945 Onovalov comes back to the Academy where he assists prof. Jakub Karol Parnas in his last experiments on muscle chemism. At the same time as a high-ranked officer of The Soviet Secret Service (NKVD) he conducts his own research trying to create a formula amplifying human tolerance to alcohol.He is also a creator of the Onovalov's capsule also known as the "Schit" (meaning - Shield) or SpecTab commonly used by Russian secret services including the KGB. The member of the Moscow Chemical Society.

Onovalov's image was often used by the Soviet political propaganda. He died on 2 November 1993 in Moscow.
