Nikola Jovanović

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nikola Jovanović (born 18 September 1952 in Cetinje) is a retired Montenegrin footballer.

He made history when he became the first Yugoslav international footballer to play for leading English league side Manchester United, where he made 21 Football League appearances in the early 1980s. He was one of the club's most expensively signed players at the time, but his time at Old Trafford was not a success, and he failed to justify his transfer fee.

On June 14, 2007, Jovanović became the general manager of the newly promoted FK Lovćen.[1]
