Nikko Cordial Corporation (株式会社日興コーディアルグループ Kabushiki-gaisha Nikkō Kōdhiaru Gurūpu?) (TYO: 8603, SGX: N06) is a major Japanese brokerage firm and is the holding company for Nikko Cordial Securities and other subsidiaries. Nikko Cordial is 69 percent owned by financial services giant Citi. On October 3rd, 2007 Citi announced it will acquire the remaining shares of Nikko, causing it to be delisted in January of 2008. On January 29, 2008, Citigroup announced it completed its $14 billion acquisition of Nikko Cordial.
