NikeTalk was created December 10, 1999 when Nelson Cruz aka "CameronNelson" became dissatisfied with the lack of moderation on "NikePark", a similar webforum.[citation needed]
As of November 15, 2007, NikeTalk has 54,485 members, over 13.7 million posts and over 892,000 views.
Common discussion topics include news about upcoming sneakers, release dates, and pictures of shoes from companies such as Nike, Inc., Adidas, And1, Vans and Reebok. Other forums include General, Music, Sports and Regional. There is also a Buy/Sell forum where members can purchase and sell shoes, shirts, and other items.
On November 10, 2007, NikeTalk officially moved from ezBoard to Yuku.
