Tokyo Mew Mew Reborn thing

link: http://antares7.absoludicrous.net/drr/r-r.html

Looking at this link, it seems it is similar to the case of the ribbon/reborn confusion. So, would it be ok to say something similar to"

"This wouldn't be first time there has been confusion about "reborn", as this happened with Sailor Saturn's "death reborn revolution attack", add more about this, and then use this link as a citation?---"THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED!" 19:08, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

That could be a possiblity, though that section needs to be trimmed down to one paragraph. There's no reason to have it as large as it is. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:46, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Deleted Page Inquiry

Just a question why you would delete the Iceland Pure Spring Water page, but pages for Fiji, Evian, Ozarka, Aquapod, Propel, Aquafina, Dasani, the private label Sam's Choice (for Wal-Mart), and dozens of other bottled waters exist in Wikipedia. Don't delete one page, when the page that was created used the same format as another existing page and provided the same info. If you deleted that page, then you have to delete all the other bottled water pages. 63.73.199.69 21:09, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Closure2000

It was deleted because it was a blatant advertisement (it reads like ad copy). However, as there are many other brands, I've restored the page here. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:20, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Deleted Dark Nemesis Studios

you have deleted a page, dark nemesis studios, which had absolutely no reason for deletion. the page may not have had loads of content, but the Criteria for speedy deletion specifically says that you should wait after its initial creation. the criteria also was not met, and you did NOT leave any note about why, or any notification whatsoever. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Willtheoct (talkcontribs).

Actually, the page had been around for about 5 days, and still had nothing asserting notability, so it failed criterion Articles #7. Even if it had met that criteria, the article was a blatant advertisement for the studio, and therefore failed General criterion #11. Please read Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia and Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset for more information on writing an article which meets the requirements for keeping on the site. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 02:41, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
this article was NOT Blatant advertising: it had history, members, decently popular titles, there was ONE link to it, because you wouldnt know what the topic is about otherwise. and for the asserting part, practically everything was notable. also, YOU were supposed to leave a note about why, and notificate the author. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Willtheoct (talkcontribs).

Deleted Major General

I notice you have deleted a page on frederick Hadow as not notable. He was a major general in the british army. I wonder how senior one has to be to be deemed notable by your good self? It would be much more constructive you talked to people before deleting. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.140.56.154 (talk • contribs).

There have likely been thousands of major generals in the British Army, and not all of them are notable. Did Hadow do something of special note? If so, then I'm willing to restore the page. As it is, the page said nothing to assert notability. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 18:41, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. Please don't put the page back up: it would be a humiliation for me. I did not write the page, but I would strongly refute the notion that there have been thousands of major generals in the british army, in particular the Indian army and those present at the Mutiny of 1857. This revolt was a significant turning point in English and, especially, Indian history. Sorry to be so frank, but your manor of instantly deleting pages which have been created by people with interests and specialist knowledges different from your own smacks of what can only term "wikifascism". Don't put the page back up. Instead I ask one thing from you: that prior to wiping other people's work from the internet that you first ask yourself if this is a subject that you are really qualified to arbitrate upon. In this case I doubt it. JB. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.140.56.154 (talk • contribs).
How would putting the page back up be a humiliation? Also, please be civil in your interactions with others. Calling me a facist just because I deleted an article that did not assert notability, that's just plain rude. If you believe the article is about a notable individual, then I'm more than willing to restore it as long as you edit it to assert that notability. Please also note that while you may have originally created the article, you do not own the article. There are many articles which do not meet the requirements for being on Wikipedia which are deleted on a daily basis, so please don't think this is anything personal. Again, if you think this individaul really was notable, I'm willing to restore the article if you will then edit it to assert that notability. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 20:47, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
I beg you: please read carefully before acting. My note above states: "I did not write the page". For this reason alone I assert no ownership of the article and do not care if it is deleted. Please also note that I have certainly not called you a fascist. To "smack" of in English means: "a barely discernible quality". That is different from calling someone something. I just ask you to act within your expertise please. J.B. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.140.56.154 (talk • contribs).
I always review the article in question before deleting (or not deleting, as the case may be). And I know full well the implication of "smack" in English as it's my native language. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:16, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Aeileon El Nino

I would just like to state that Aeileon El Nino, Josiah, Ru, and Baby Phil are 7th Sign Regime Recording artist. There are three other references to us as the group 7th sign regime, or under bizzy bones name. thanks and GOD bless. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Freeagemusicllc (talkcontribs).

Okay, thanks for letting me know. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:48, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Your accusations

Nothing backhanded about it. True, accurate, and useful in keeping track of who is causing these problems.

Now, if you had enough sense to take the hint, and go fix things like the misindexing created by your moves of Shōnen (disambiguation), Ōtsuka, and Sentō, you might gain a modicum of credibility. Even worse yet are the ones deliberately missorted by you, as in this edit of Ema Tōyama.

How many more are there like these? Fortunately, it appears that a good number of your moves have since been reverted or moved elsewhere by other editors. Gene Nygaard 19:42, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

You've never left any sort of message on my talk page about this. I only noticed the edit summary because I happened to glance at the edit summary while scanning my watchlist. Your comments in that edit summary, and your lack of civility in your comments above (stating that it's fortunate that some things I've done have been reverted or changed, or that I don't have "enough sense to take the hint", for instance) are not helping matters any. Please, if you want me to know something, or have a question about something I've done, place a polite inquiry about it on my talk page.
I've said many times here that I'm not perfect, and that I make mistakes sometimes. I'm sure even you make mistakes on occasion. That doesn't mean that you need to be less than civil when dealing with something which may or may not be a mistake. There's no excuse for being less than civil. Thank you. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 22:42, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Also, to answer your questions about the specific articles mentioned above:
  • Shōnen (disambiguation) - this one I just forgot to do the catsorting
  • Ōtsuka - this is a disambiguation page and, as far as I know, I have no control over how it sorts. The only cats on the page are placed there by the {{disambig}} template
  • Sentō - same as the first one: I just forgot to do the catsorting
  • Ema Tōyama - read the talk page and you'll see about this one. The catsorting was just a small oversight when I was replacing the instances of "Tooyama" with "Tōyama".
All of these have been fixed now (except for Ōtsuka, where I'm not sure there's anything that can be done. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 23:02, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Nihonjoe, invitation to DRV

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Stepanavan Youth Center. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. (Thanks, by the way, for looking closely at the sources provided. I just think your final decision came out wrong.) — coelacan talk — 20:15, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorting

You don't need to apologize or explain why you did not something or forgot something in your article ... ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 23:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, Gene is correct in that I forgot to do the catsorting. It was a mistake, albeit a small one that's easily fixed (and has been fixed now). I don't have a problem with being shown mistakes I've made. My only beef was with how it was presented. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 23:07, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I know ... it was very uncivil. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 23:08, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, a few good things came out of it: the sorting was fixed on those, and I found out about {{DEFAULTSORT}}, of which I had not been aware. This seems to work well on {{disambig}} pages in order to get them to sort right. So, maybe we should just incorporate that into the WP:MOS-JA as it would make the pages sort correctly under stubs as well. I think I'll go suggest it there. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 23:13, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
We have now similar problem as you had with Gō, maybe you would like to participate please see this if you don't mind . ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 09:40, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

The "Yayoi" passage in Japan; see Talk:Japan#Suggesting "China and Korea"

Hello, Nihonjoe

I was hoping that you can comment again, regarding where the "Yayoi" came from, at Talk:Japan#Suggesting "China and Korea"?

Our current discussion is between the following 2 choices:

Option 1 — Most recent consensus (as of 3 January 2007)...
  • The Yayoi period, starting around the third century BC, introduced new practices, such as wet-rice farming, iron and bronze-making and a new style of pottery, brought by migrants from the Chinese mainland and the Korean peninsula. With the development of Yayoi culture, a predominantly agricultural society emerged on the Japanese archipelago.
  • The points that differ are: "from the Chinese mainland and the Korean peninsula" in the 1st sentence, and "on the Japanese archipelago" in the 2nd sentence.
  • Pros: Some of us claim this is the more stable and accurate wording, using "Korean peninsula" instead of "Korea", and will prevent any potential revert-wars.
  • Cons: Detractors claim it is "original research" to replace "China", "Korea", and "Japan" with "the Chinese mainland", "the Korean peninsula", and "the Japanese archipelago", based on wording used by the majority of sources.
  • This wording was agreed upon (on 3 Jan.) by the 5 of us: Endroit, Jefu, HongQiGong, LordAmeth, and John Smith's.
Option 2 — Currently suggested wording...
  • The Yayoi period, starting around the third century BC, introduced new practices, such as wet-rice farming, iron and bronze-making and a new style of pottery, brought by migrants from China and Korea. With the development of Yayoi culture, a predominantly agricultural society emerged in Japan.
  • The points that differ are: "from China and Korea" in the 1st sentence, and "in Japan" in the 2nd sentence.
  • Pros: Some of us claim this is the more accurate wording based on sources, the majority of which uses "China", "Korea", and "Japan" (instead of "Chinese mainland", "Korean peninsula", and "Japanese archipelago").
  • Cons: Detractors claim this wording is cause for content dispute, and the word "Korea" is particularly problematic because a "state of Korea" did not exist during the "Yayoi" times as claimed by Endroit in the discussions.
  • This wording is currently being suggested by: Jefu, HongQiGong, and Sir Edgar.

The list of article related to scientific skepticism

Comment The List of articles related to quackery was a stand alone list without any references or organization. It was a long and unfocused list. Now, a new and different "shorter and more focused list" with verifiable references meets every aspect of Wikipedia gudleines. The List of articles related to scientific skepticism as gone through a "massive remodeling". Everything has been categorized, organized, and well written. It was NOT a re-creation of the list of article related to quackery. This was an amended list that has gone through a massive change. I invite you to look at the histroy for the PROOF. Thanks. --QuackGuru 02:20, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

After reviewing this, I found that I had been viewing the incorrect article version when comparing them. I have therefore restored the article and removed the speedy tag. It still needs to go through the AfD process, however. I think it may have a better chance this time as this version is siginificantly different from the previous one. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 02:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I understand it needs to go through the AFD process. Is there any experienced editors I could contact to help clean up and shorten the list. There is still time to improve the list. Thanks. --QuackGuru 04:50, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I would contact editors of related articles as they are most likely to be able to help you. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 04:52, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I think it would be premature to delete this article. I want the article "chopped in half" by experience editors. I realize I made the list too long. My fault. One person's mistake should not be grounds for delete. Another editors clean up could make all the difference. If you know what to delete please help. I hope you can contact other editors to change the entire article. --QuackGuru 05:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I suggest making your arguments and requests on the AfD and looking through related articles to find editors who appear to know the subject. I don't know much about it, so I'm not a good one to determine what, if anything, should be kept. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 05:01, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I have nuked the list and made it into a stub. Now I realize this is what I should have done in the beginning. What next. --QuackGuru 06:02, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
As I indicated twice above, you should look at related articles and then contact one or more editors who are more familiar with the topic, asking them if they will assist. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 06:10, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Request for Bureaucratship

It is my regretful task to inform you that your RFB has closed and did not achieve consensus for promotion. I hope you will find the commentary there helpful in growing as a Wikipedian; if I may be of any assistance to you, please let me know. Regards, Essjay (Talk) 21:55, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 22:10, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I'd have expected a better, detailed idea of what you wanted to achieve as a b'crat. I've seen a few noms where the nominees went into great detail about how they'd do their job and what specific area they would be working on, what specifically would their philosophy and judgment be, etc. One guy a couple of months ago talked at length about how he'd help out at the bots pages. Another guy went into great detail about what construes a consensus, etc. Again, its a case where I didn't see any explanation or detailed discussion coming from you in comparison to Taxman, a simple opinion-giver (to substitute the term, "voter") and a serving b'crat. I just didn't feel that you had any hunger or drive behind this nom. But make no mistake, you were a good candidate and you can easily become a b'crat, if you request it showing some actual need for you to get those extra buttons. Don't take my opinion too seriously, Rama's arrow 22:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Additionally, you must know that any RfB must effectively answer the question: "do we need more b'crats?" There are several sub-questions in that question, which some others and I didn't feel you answered properly. Rama's arrow 22:41, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your clarification. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 22:51, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Personally, I felt that you should've been promoted because all the opposes were based off one (by a b-crat to boot), but the numbers have spoken and that it what we must base it on. :( Sorry, I think you would make a fine one. — Deckiller 00:17, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your support. I obviously agree with you (or I wouldn't have nominated myself). I found Taxman's comments to be borderline or outright COI (just as he indicated himself), but there's not really anything I can (or could) do about it except wait a while and try again. I found the oppose reasons given to be, in general, non-reasons. Demo, shō ga nai, ne? (But, it can't be helped, can it?) ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 00:26, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
I've been thinking about running for b-cratship for a while now myself, but I'm beginning to think that the encyclopedia needs more time spent on enhancing quality. — Deckiller 00:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Hitomi Takahashi

Thank you for pointing out that the Hitomi Takahashi page was in need of editing. I have edited the article to make it less "fannish" than it was before, but if it still sounds that way, then please point this out to me so I can do my best to promptly change it. Shinigami Niko 03:45, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Hitomi Takahashi (singer) is much better now. It does, however, need many mmore inline citations for the various claims and facts in the article. I recommend using <ref>{{cite}}</ref> tags. The most common cite tag is {{cite web}}. You can see how they are used on the High School! Kimengumi article. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 04:01, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Once again, thank you for the suggestion! Keeping what you said in mind, I have updated the Reference section so that it uses the suggested tags. I've also added new citations, but I'm sure there's room for more - I just have to find them. Shinigami Niko 20:04, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

First of all, I'm not in Japan.
