[edit] My (KWSN's) RFA
Thank you for supporting my recent (and successful!) RfA. It passed at at 55/17/6. Kwsn (Ni!) 01:26, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Really?
I thought it was just funny. Will I really get blocked just for having this user name, even if I don't actually vandalize? I only vandalize articles 01:34, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Administrators get so many vandals and trolls that we generally block usernames like that on sight, without even checking the changes made. I would have blocked your account, but I saw your userpage first. Nihiltres(t.l) 01:36, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I am going to get a new account. I put a message on my user page about it so hopefully someone wont block me as I think doing that will also block my IP address automatically. Thanks. I only vandalize articles 01:43, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Political Compass
That is one good test. Thanks for sharing it. I am a slightly left-wing authoritarian. :) Kaeso Dio 22:03, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Coloured wikilinks in template
Hi i am hoping that you can help me. I have navbox template, Template:Football manager history, working correctly at the moment. I have changed something in my sandbox: User:Woodym555/Manager template to add in an optional parameter for a wikilink. Yet i cannot get the wikilink to change colour to reflect the title of the navbox. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks. Woodym555 00:11, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- I updated your sandbox version to make the colour work properly. You needed to put the <span> controlling the colour inside the manager wikilink, after the pipe. Hope that helps :) Nihiltres(t.l) 00:33, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thankyou very much, it is perfect and helps tremendously! It seemed like i tried every other combination but that one!! Thanks again. Woodym555 01:03, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion of article
why did you delete my article!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bryjwal13 (talk • contribs) 16:35, November 1, 2007 (UTC)
- Please read the reasons that I left on your talk page. Do you object to any of the problems I raised there? Nihiltres(t.l) 16:48, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for reverting vandalism on my user page. Cheers! -- LAX 00:42, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reversion
Hi Nihiltres,
Thank you for reverting the vandalism to my userpage. Can you please block the account; it seems to be a rather poor attempt at impersonation from a cross-wiki troll.
Thanks,
Manticore Talk | Contributions 16:57, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Done, that is an obvious single-purpose account. I overlooked it at the time because it made only one edit, and I disabled autoblock and so forth now because the account is stale and probably won't affect the vandal with anything but the direct block. Nihiltres(t.l) 17:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] salus
I updated infomration for our company, that is no different than other bath and body companies in the wiki, but it was rejected for being advertising. I dont understand? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shopsalus (talk • contribs) 23:23, November 8, 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but your addition was clearly promotional. Phrases like "Now, SALUS is available for you to design, use and love! No longer will you be forced to buy pre-made, pre-packaged and chemical-filled products. At SALUS™ the choice is always yours, and is Naturally, Designed by You!™" are most definitely not compliant with the neutral point of view policy. Nihiltres(t.l) 23:33, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Caffeine award
Slakr's Caffeine Award
For helping out during a time when everyone else seemed asleep, I award you some caffeine for your exceptional effort. I probably would have considered giving you crack, but then you might have start reverting contribs by random people, which probably would have been a bad thing. :P Keep up the great work, and cheers =) --slakr\ talk / 04:44, 9 November 2007 (UTC) |
[edit] DEBBUØ
Hello what is this user intending to do? Is the user it is reverting banned or is it just plain vandalism? I am confused. The sunder king 13:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's just plain vandalism, and the sockpuppets (REBBU, DEBBU, and DEBBUØ) would tend to confirm this. I just started seeing this recently, and I'm sockblocking each one as they come up. Nihiltres(t.l) 13:44, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 2 Girls 1 Cup
The 2 Girls 1 Cup video is absolutely famous. It has been watched tens of millions of times. Singer John Mayer parodied it. VH1's Best Week Ever spoke on it. Reaction videos to it have had in aggregation have had millions of views. Searching for it itself, you find over 8 million webpages referencing it in Google. At this point it is noteworthy. It's atrocious that people are now making links to the Google cached version of the Wikipedia page for it when it is searched under "2 girls 1 cup wikipedia" - people should not be searching and linking to deleted information, the whole point is to delete articles no one needs. Unprotect the name, restore the previous article, list it as a stub, and if you're feeling generous, add the noteworthy information yourself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.140.83.91 (talk) 17:58, November 11, 2007 (UTC)
- Though I am disgusted by the content involved, even as someone usually open to unusual things, you have a point in that if it can be shown to be notable, it can have a spot - Wikipedia is not censored. I'm not about to go researching this (this is disgusting!) or restoring the previous article - I am a volunteer, I don't have to do that and I won't do that, just reviewing the deletion killed my appetite. If you can provide me with at least three reliable sources describing the video and its importance, I'll unprotect the title and you can cite those sources in a new article. Otherwise, I want nothing to do with it. You can also talk to one of the administrators that initially deleted it if you want - my intervention was merely to prevent its repeated recreation to ease the annoyance of repeated deletion. - Although I am not the unsigned IP, I got to this very talk page by googling 'site:wikipedia.org 2 girls 1 cup'. I see this is already in the archives, you must have a lot of popularity for it to hit archives in under 20 days. I do not know exactly what 2g1c is, but I see a LOT of references to it. Maybe it could go under shock site? --TIB (talk) 03:56, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brad Chandler
I noticed you did a page protection to stop the blanking war. Would you mind using {{afd-privacy|article|result}} instead of {{courtesy blanking}}? That will keep the result of the AfD visible. Thanks. --Dynaflow babble 20:25, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Template edit request
Hi Nihiltres - there's a format problem with the columns template(s) which you've been working on: they won't allow images to sit alongside, an image forces the columns down below it leaving a white gap (see screenshot, right). I don't know how to solve this - can you sort it out by any chance? - Thanks, MPF 11:54, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that that's a problem easily solved, as your browser displays it differently from mine. It's an issue that I'm unfortunately not familiar enough with to fix - my involvement in editing those templates was to fix up the setup they use for documentation, rather than to change their content, and the problem is the way CSS is handled, rather than, say, a ParserFunction problem. Sorry, Nihiltres{t.l} 14:51, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My (Remember the dot)'s RfA
I never thanked you for participating in my RfA a couple of weeks ago. Thank you for your support, though unfortunately the request was closed as "no consensus". I plan to run again at a later time, and I hope you will support me again then.
Thanks again! —Remember the dot (talk) 06:40, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Remember to Warn Vandals
Remember to Warn Vandals Hello and thank you for your contributions as a Vandal Patroller! Regarding the recent revert you made to First Amendment to the United States Constitution: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned, which are useful when admins review the logs for possible blocks. Thank you.

- Yes, I know to do that. I'm afraid I was distracted at the time and forgot. In response, do you think that you could review WP:TEMPLAR? ;) Nihiltres{t.l} 01:54, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for leading me to water. ;-) --LeyteWolfer 02:03, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
