[edit] Spider

I'm sorry for not notifying you about the action I took. I created a redirect to the list as to avoid redundancy. Spider does not meet the guidelines necessary to warrent his own individual article according to our WP:FICT policy, and after a brief read over your "new" article, its been verified all you merely did was copy and paste the summary from the main list page. You also uploaded a new image instead of using the old one already in the list article. There is already a ever-growing concensus by the video gaming community to delete non-notable articles such as this, and in the circumstances established, I thought it best to make the redirect. -ZeroTalk 20:41, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Whereas I know that the article as of now is merely a copy paste of material, I plan on expending on it later by adding such things as a personality description etc. and personally, I think that Spider and Redips were both pivotal plot elements in MMX: Command Mission, in fact, Spider is the only new character in the game to get as much of spotlight as X and Zero, making him perhaps as notable as characters like Colonel who where in just one game. Nightmare X 20:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Okay. Until you construct a complete rewrite and expansion, would it be possible to leave it in list format..? It also might be more plausible to merge him into the Colonel Redips article, as the List summary sums up his invlovement in the story in a nutshell. -ZeroTalk 20:54, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Then so shall it be, until I've finished up with my rewrite the article will remain a redirect to the character list, although the idea of merging with the Redips article (which I started myself long ago) isn't that bad. Nightmare X 20:58, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Lovely. My apologies about the welcome; I was not aware you had previously recieved one. -ZeroTalk 21:02, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

I just accidentally reverted you: I saw a paragraph deleted, with no indication of a reason. Only when I checked the article history, I saw you had been working on the article. My apologies! However, to make life easier for the people who try to clean up vandalism, could you please consider using edit summaries? Thanks! --JoanneB 09:02, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Serious business redirect

You created a redirect from serious business to internet. You probably don't know, but this has been discussed a number of times, most recently at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2006 October 17, with the conclusion that such a redirect does not belong on Wikipedia. Therefore, I deleted the redirect. Cheers, Jitse Niesen (talk) 23:18, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Beyond hell 2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Beyond hell 2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Gwar

Hi, I left a note in the WP Gwar. We should come to a decision on how WP Films is to treat (or not treat) the articles of your project. Should we use Film infoboxes, or will you use your Gwar infobox for all? IMDb has entries of these video films, so most film categories apply, but do we assess them as films? I would appreciate if you help me sort it out. Hoverfish Talk 19:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Oderus Urungus Sounds of the Underground2.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Oderus Urungus Sounds of the Underground2.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:17, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kerrigan.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kerrigan.png. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Kerrigan.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Kerrigan.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:11, 13 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. TomStar81 (Talk) 07:11, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of socialist countries

This is a well-known trap that I will not fall for: someone makes an outlandish statement, someone with common sense reverts it, the other someone reverts it again and invites discussion on the talk page about his/her fringe theory. A long and bitter edit war ensues. Talk pages are for discussing the contents of an article, not for debating politics. You should count this message as a warning about further engaging in this behavior; if you continue, the page will be protected and you will be temporarily banned. —Sesel (talk) 22:01, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Debating politics? the article consists of self-proclaimed socialist countries, Nazi Germany was a self-proclaimed socialist country and as such should be added for completion's sake. Nightmare X (talk) 23:04, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
