[edit] Self-introduction

Hi! I'm a sec 3student from Raffles Institution, living in the Eastern part of Singapore. I'm a Christian, currently with Mt Carmel BP church. In real life I do debates, science quizzes, humanities quizzes, and am also in photo club and prefect board. In the academic domain my interests lie with Geography, Chemistry, and Biology (esp. where chem and bio meet i.e. biochem)

For more info and insights, see my blog (http://nigel-fong.blogspot.com).

[edit] Life Philosophy

1. Live a God Directed Life. Walk with him; find refuge and rejoice in him, for he loves us, and will carry us through

2. What you sow is directly proportional to what you reap. But force does not necessarily translate into work done; sow your seeds wisely.

3. It's a balance. Ecclesiastes 2:11 "Yet when i surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun". And yet Ecc 11:6a says "sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle." Virtue ethics' golden mean... haha

4. Be nice and don't lie.

[edit] Why you see me here

I am amazed at the scale and power of the democratization of the internet, exemplified by this comprehensive resource, the de facto first stop of most students on any journey of inquiry. Technology is a great enabler; and in this day and age, we are stepping closer to the ubiquity of information. Indeed, the true age of the internet has just dawned.

As much as I have benefited from Wiki, I wish to give back to it, participate in this phenomenal democratisation of the internet, and contributing to the ubiquity of information, free and accessible to all.

[edit] Interest areas / to-do

Contributions from local knowledge, my references, and some clean-up.

- Urban studies and planning (some articles quite sketchy, others unclear)

- Singapore related articles

- Raffles Institution

- Uncyclopedia. Haha.

I also really like science, but cannot contribute much with what i know, since most science articles are already relatively well-developed (just look at Glycolysis)
