"Night of the Meek" is the first segment of the thirteenth episode from the television series the The New Twilight Zone. It is a remake of the original The Twilight Zone series episode, where Santa Claus was played by Art Carney.

[edit] Synopsis

A department store Santa Claus is fired from his job after coming to work while drunk. Slowly but surely the man begins to turn into the real Santa. And when he gets a sack that automatically fills with whatever present the customer wants he begins to give out free things to everyone who asks.

Unfortunately the owner of the department store from which the Santa was fired becomes angry and is convinced that the Santa stole the gifts he is giving away from his store and calls the police.

Santa then finds his bag filled with receipts and is cleared of all charges.
