Night of the Bloody Apes (album)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Night of the Bloody Apes is a 1994 hip hop album by Crustified Dibbs, an alias of the rapper R. A. Thorburn, better known today as R.A. The Rugged Man. Commissioned by Jive Records, the album was completed but never officially released due to Thorburn's acrimonious departure from the label.[1] Then-less-notorious rapper Notorious B.I.G. recorded a guest appearance verse on the song "Cunt Renaissance."[1] Jive released a promo 12" single for the song "Bloodshed Hua Hoo" before dropping Thorburn and pulling the plug on the album's release. Bootleg copies of the album have since circulated commercially and on the internet. The album title references the Mexican horror movie of the same name. In 1999, Ego Trip's Book of Rap Lists included the album on its list of six "Notable Rap Albums That Were Never Released."[1]
