Night Reconnaissance is a single by the duo Dresden Dolls. It will be featured on the CD No, Virginia.... The song centers around a young person who lives in a rich suburban neighborhood and is a victim of bullying. The song implies that the young person has become a very successful script writer, basing the films characters on the personas and prejudgments assumed to said person by the bullies, directed by Steven Spielburg. The said person attempts to get back at all the people who has done them harm by stealing various lawn ornaments[1]. But soon developes a strong emotional attachment to said ornaments. The song also has strong themes of social ostracism and loneliness.
