Night Island (Tasmania)

Night Island is a small granite island, with an area of 2.59 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of Tasmania’s Preservation Island Group, lying in eastern Bass Strait south of Cape Barren Island in the Furneaux Group. It is a Conservation Area.

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species include Little Penguin, Pacific Gull, Sooty Oystercatcher and Black-faced Cormorant (for which it is an important breeding site).[1]
