NightRider

The NightRider is a bus service in Melbourne, Australia. It operates after midnight from the Melbourne city centre to the suburbs, running on nine routes, with over three-hundred stops.

Buses run hourly from 12.30am to 4.30am on the following routes.

  • 01 - City - Bayswater / Knox City (including Rowville loop extension)'
  • 02 - City - Craigieburn
  • 03 - City - Croydon (including Lilydale loop extension)
  • 04 - City - Dandenong
  • 05 - City - Eltham
  • 06 - City - Epping
  • 07 - City - Frankston - Mornington
  • 09 - City - Werribee
  • 953 - City - St Albans (including Sunbury extension & Melton)

[edit] Ticketing Information

As of March 2007 standard Metcard tickets (zone 1 or 2 depending on zones travelled through) are accepted on the service.[1] Previously a $7 fee was charged per journey.

Buses are labelled with a large Nightrider logo.
