Nigardsbreen

Nigardsbreen is a glacier arm of the glacier Jostedalsbreen. Nigardsbreen lies nearby Gaupne in the Jostedal, Luster, in Sogn og Fjordane in Norway.
The Nigardsbreen was a big glacier in 1748 with about 48 km². Between 1930-1939 it becomes smaller. It is dangerous to walk on the glacier along, the best you can do it with a gide. The are different glacierhikes.
Nearby the glacier is the museum Breheimsenteret. Before the Nigardsbreen is the lake Nigardsbrevatnet with a small boat to the glacier. There is also a glacierbus.
