[edit] Film

We have guidelines for external links: WP:EL. Please read it carefully. You can include external links who are describing the subject, which is film, but not listing film productions. We are not interested in providing directory of external links. For this case there is a free open-source directory project, called DMOZ. — Indon (reply) — 14:47, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Girolamo Savonarola 16:32, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:NewTVTogo1.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:New TVT logo1.jpg. The copy called Image:New TVT logo1.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 19:30, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please STOP

Please STOP adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia pages. It is considered spamming and you could be blocked from editing if this continues. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 14:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

The reason these links are not allowed is because they are not from an official website, such as the ITV one you are citing. Tv.com is a widely renowned resource for TV information, as is IMDb. What's On TV isn't. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 15:39, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Tvtimes.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Tvtimes.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:09, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:NewTVTogo1.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:NewTVTogo1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 13:27, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tvtimes.jpg

If it is genuinely public domain you should have no problem in getting, IPC Media's legal dept, to send the relevant people at Wikipedia an official letter or e-mail confirming this.  :) Sfan00 IMG 13:30, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Tvtimes.jpg

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Tvtimes.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 13:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:NewTVTogo1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:NewTVTogo1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:34, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Wotv21july.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Wotv21july.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:55, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
