Nieuwland (Zederik)

Nieuwland (51°54′N, 5°1′E) is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Zederik, and lies about 8 km north of Gorinchem.

In 2001, the village of Nieuwland had 453 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.078 km², and contained 165 residences.[1] The statistical area "Nieuwland", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 780.[2]

Nieuwland was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1986, when it became part of Zederik.[3]
