Niepołomice [ɲɛpɔwɔˈmit͡sɛ] is a town in southern Poland, situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Kraków Voivodeship (1975-1998). It is situated on the Vistula River, 25 km east of Kraków on the verge of large woodlands (Puszcza Niepołomnicka - Niepołomice Forest). There is a 14th century gothic hunting castle nearby built by Casimir III, as well as a conservation center for wisents.
