Niels Hausgaard

Niels Hausgaard (born August 31, 1944) is a danish singer, songwriter and comedian. Since 1970's know for his songs and underplayed comic - often with a fun combination of human knowledge and more or less socialistic jokes. Originally is Hausgaard know for is dialect, vendelbomål - In the later years in a less distinguished manner.

I 2006 he was rewarded with the Gelsted-Kirk-Scherfig-Fondens kulturpris on 25.000 danish kroner (about 5000 US dollars), but he gave the money to the magazine Dagbladet Arbejderen.

He lives in Hundelev, Vendsyssel.
