[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:An-Evening-With-Carol-Lou.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:An-Evening-With-Carol-Lou.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:17, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Re your comment on the image talk page. It is the use of the image that is disputed, not its content. Wikipedia allows the use of copyrighted images of album covers if they are used in an article, or a section which provides a lot of prose about the album. They must never be used just to illustrate galleries, lists or discographies. In any case, the image page must contain a detailed rationale for each use of the image. Please read the instructions in the message above carefully for a full explanation. Papa November 09:11, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
The image in question is a CD cover. The exact same rationale for its usage applies to all CD covers used on Wikipedia. Shouldn't they all be purged? What makes this one different? Nicmart (talk) 02:55, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
No, actually it's fine to use CD cover images in article infoboxes or wherever there is lots of text talking about the album, but you must justify each use of the image on its description page. Take a look at this image. There is an explanation for why it is OK to use it in the "Heroes" article. I deleted your image because you did not do explain why it was being used. Please read the fair use rationale guidelines and the fair use criteria for more information. Papa November (talk) 12:52, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
You couldn't have corrected it instead of deleting it? Is that too much like cooperation? Nicmart (talk) 15:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] James Stacy

This article was tagged for multiple issues regarding style, content and citations. I've done a bit of work on it, adding an infobox, dividing into sections and adding references that I could find. I noted that you added the list of sources at the bottom. Those sources appear to be for various items in what is now the Arrest and conviction section, although I couldn't discern what source went for which content. Perhaps you could stop by the article and see if you could place those sources in inline citations? Thanks. Wildhartlivie (talk) 06:36, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
