[edit] Welcomes

Hi Nick Moss, and welcome to Wikipedia.

Thankyou for finding the time to sign up and contribute to our little project. If you're in doubt about anything, you might want to check out some of these pages:

It's also a good idea to sign the new user log and add a little about yourself.

When contributing to a talk page, you can sign your name by typing four tildes after your comments, like this: ~~~~. (Just so you know, some people won't pay attention to unsigned comments).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me at my talk page, or at the Help desk or Village Pump.

Above all, make sure you be bold when contributing, and have fun!

Welcome from me too, Nick. Taihape is on my watchlist and appeared near the top a minute ago, so I checked you out - thanks for the trans-Tasman link there. You're welcome to add your name to pages such as Wikipedia:Wikipedians/New Zealand. Kia ora! Robin Patterson 09:39, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] World Citizen userbox, {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}}

Hi, I noticed the message saying you're a World Citizen, I would like to invite you to add {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}} to your user page if you wish to proclaim it in a more effective way, and this template will also add you automatically to the Wikipedians with World Citizenship category. :) --Mistress Selina Kyle 23:54, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:747x.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:747x.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Qantas 747

If you go to the Qantas website you will see the fact sheet if you were to add all the 747s there are in fact 56 making Qantas larger than Korean Air! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.234.130.56 (talk • contribs) 22:31, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

This fact sheet? I count 35 - 6 747-400ER, 24 747-400, and 5 747-300 (which is one less than what CASA lists, because VH-EBU is out of service, although it is still registered to the airline). Where are you getting the other 21 aircraft from? You're not counting aircraft the airline operated in the past are you?

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:747x.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:747x.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 22:20, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
