[edit] Celluloid and another plastic

I posted a suggestion on your Celluloid page that the article should also be listed in one of the plastics categories.

Another cellulosic plastic, which doesn't have an article on Wikipedia, is Tenite.

http://www.eastman.com/Brands/Tenite/Tenite_Intro.asp

Since that's the company site, they of course don't mention the problems they had with it through at least the early 1940's. Tenite would start to soften and warp at around 200 degrees Fahrenheit and even worse, it would emit a smell (horrible, repulsive, stench) very much like a cross between vomit and cat urine. (I'm working on reproducing some 1940 Nash interior parts in a cast polyurethane resin, so I have rather too much "first nose" experience with the awful, horrible, I-want-this-crap-out-of-my-shop-ASAP! smell.)

So there's an article, if you wish to tackle it. :) If Wikepedia could do smells, I could donate a piece of the stinky stuff. It only takes a tiny bit to make a whole room stinky. (Seriously, this smell should be synthesized for riot dispersal!)

Thanks, I will look into that when I get a minute :) Nick Boulevard 18:40, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Guillemots

Hey! I'm editing with you the Guillemots (band) article and I have just found someting strange... Where did you find that they signed to Polydor? I have this information at BBC Brasil's website but it tells just they signed to Polydor and will be releasing the first album soon... I would like to know more about it since it's weird the Fantastic Plastic's website is publishing they will release a new single...-Stefanobwtalk 12:20, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Meetup/Birmingham

This is just a reminder that the Birmingham meetup of UK Wikipedians that you have expressed an interst in is happening tomorrow. Sorry for the short notice. Thryduulf 15:23, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism of independent label entries

Someone is editing out the following active independent record labels, all of which have been in business for over twenty-years, and which are distributed by Didgeridoo Records (Australia) and Hot Records (UK): Label X, Preamble Records, Southern Cross Records. Please investigate and advise.--Jslasher 07:54, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Block

I just blocked 195.92.67.75 due to an extreme amount of vandalism originating from that address. I understand that you often use this IP address. If this block collaterally damages you, please let me or another admin know and we will unblock the IP. I'm not sure what to do to stop the vandalism other than the blocks, though. --Yamla 21:30, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi there, sorry for late reply, I haven't edited wikipedia for a while now, that IP I think was when I first came to wikipedia and I am pretty sure that all of my edits were relating to the construction of Brum pages, I only edit through this IP now, thanks for letting me know anyway. [edit] Energis plc associated IP addresses

Nick, there is a note at the top of User talk:62.25.106.209 that refers to Energis plc as the organisation associated with an IP range. Should this organisation be considered an ISP in the sense of {{ISP}} or a more generic organisation in the sense of {{sharedIP}}? Thanks for the clarification.
