[edit] Biography
My name is Nick Catalano, I was born on March 5, 1987 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I have lived in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin all of my life.
[edit] Education
I have attended Whitefish Bay schools throughout my entire life, graduating from Whitefish Bay High School in the spring of 2005.
I entered Loyola University Chicago in the Summer of 2005 and remained there during my freshman year. In the middle of the spring 2006 term I had to leave the university for personal reasons. For the 2006/07 school year I attended the local University of Wisconsin Milwaukee campus. In the fall of 2007 I returned to Loyola University Chicago.

While in high school I co-founded the largest High School Democrats organization in the State of Wisconsin. I assisted campaigns during the pivotal 2004 Election by organizing volunteers to attend events and canvas.
In the past I have interned with organizations such as the ACLU of Wisconsin, Dean for America, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin during the 2004 Election to elect John Kerry and the 2006 Wisconsin gubernatorial election to re-elect Governor Jim Doyle.
I also do new-media consulting and development for left-leaning political campaigns and organizations.
[edit] School Board Run
In the Spring of 2005 I ran for a position on the School Board of the Whitefish Bay School District.
My platform was to increase the aid to minorities who entered the school district at a young age and later in their education did not keep up with their classmates, even though they were receiving the same high quality education. Having been in the system, I knew I would be a valuable asset to the district.
I garnered 440 votes, the last in the election, but the experience gave me the will to work in politics in the future.

Some of my past times include blogging on Blog.NickCatalano.com about my personal views, experiences, and random items I find amusing. I also enjoy contributing to Wikipedia, hopefully adding to the wealth of knowledge in my own little way.
