Pcpcpc, what justifies changing from Linguist to British Linguist and British People to English Academic? Evertype 21:01, 2005 Feb 13 (UTC)

Does anyone know :
  • 1. Where Williams obtained his PhD and on what topic;
  • 2. Is it correct that he holds a Diploma in Celtic Studies (from Queen's Belfast?), and if so what exactly is the academic status of this qualification?
Thanks Mongvras 10:48, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
The facts in the article are correct as stated. -- Evertype· 18:04, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know at what point Williams started to gather support in Ireland for his campaign to eradicate the standard spelling of Modern Cornish?Whathojeeves 22:46, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Evidently you are Tim Saunders. There is no "standard spelling of Modern Cornish" as you well know. -- Evertype· 18:04, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Commended"

"Amongst Irish scholars who have commended his work are Liam Mac Cúil, Brian Ó Cuív, Ruairí Ó hUiginn, Dónal Ó Riagáin, and Mícheál Ó Searcóid." Please give citations in support of the commendation. Otherwise this is just a list of names. -- Evertype· 05:17, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

"Amongst Celtic scholars who have commended his work are Kenneth MacKinnon, Liam Mac Cúil, Brian Ó Cuív, Ruairí Ó hUiginn, Dónal Ó Riagáin, Mícheál Ó Searcóid, and Phillip Payton." Whathojeeves keeps adding this to the article. It is not appropriate without references. Please provide reference sources to each name that you think should be in the article. -- Evertype· 08:20, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Once again, please do not add unreferenced material to this article. -- Evertype· 18:10, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Note number 1

The reference listed for the statement "As P. Berresford Ellis points out, Williams was the first professional Celtic scholar to study revived Cornish in depth.[1]" does not seem to support this statement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Carbadh (talk • contribs) 21:18, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
