[edit] Rewrite

I intend to try a complete rewrite of this article, as I feel it's completely based on the old Catholic Encylopaedia, with just a word changed here and there. (Of course, since it's public domain, there's nothing wrong with that.) I have already written articles about Nicholas Garlick's two fellow martyrs, Robert Ludlam and Richard Simpson. I used a number of different printed sources, and would find it much easier to do the same thing with this article (i.e. start from scratch) than to try to incorporate some new material into the Catholic Encyclopaedia version. I have looked at the history of the page, and it doesn't seem as if anyone put a lot of their own work and creativity into it. I earlier corrected an incorrect name, removed some less-than-relevant information, and updated the article to reflect that he's now "Blessed", not "Venerable". But, because it's just the Catholic Encyclopaedia article, reworded, corrected, and updated, I hope I can rewrite the whole thing mercilessly, without trampling on the toes of a fellow editor.
