Nicolae (Nicu) Covaci (born April 19, 1947 in Timişoara, Romania) - Romanian painter, music composer, best known as the leader of Romanian Rock and cult band Phoenix, for which he is vocalist and guitar player, with more that 40 years of activity. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest Romanian guitarists of his generation.
