Nicos Aletras is a fictional character on the Egyptian soap opera Commonwealth Hall, played by Cypriot actor, Peze Vengis. Nicos suffered from advanced ADHD, with his character being featured in a prominent story line to highlight the plight of others with the syndrome.

Nicos did not divulge any details about his past when he first moved into Commonwealth Hall, causing others to be suspicious of him. His character kept displaying surprising qualities, such as razor sharp reactions and blistering pace. In addition to this, he appeared to have a comprehensive knowledge of mechanisms and weaponry.
These strange qualities lead Steve Briston to investigate who exactly Nicos Aletras was. By hacking into Nicos' government files, Steve discovered that Nicos used to be the best sniper in the Egyptian army, earning several medals for his part in covert missions. However, after a group of terrorists he had once thwarted took revenge by killing his wife, Nicos had a mental breakdown and took indefinite leave from the army. As a result of these experiences Nicos often finds it hard to sleep, and can be seen wandering the halls at night.
Steve Briston threatened to disclose these secrets to the rest of the residents unless Nicos conducted one last hit against Serenia Yip, the lover who had jilted him. Nicos refused and revealed his past to the rest of the residents before Steve could.
When Matt Dixon moved into Commonwealth Hall, he soon became a very good friend of Nicos. The two left to travel the world together, but cut their trip short after visiting a certain suburb of Montreal, and never spoke of the trip again.
