Nicoll Fosdick

Nicoll Fosdick (November 9, 1785 - May 7, 1868) was a U.S. Representative from New York.
Born in New London, Connecticut, Fosdick completed preparatory studies. He moved to Norway, New York. He served as presidential elector on the Monroe ticket in 1816. He served as member of the State assembly in 1818 and 1819.
Fosdick was elected as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth Congress (March 4, 1825-March 3, 1827). He returned to New London, Connecticut, in 1843. He served as collector of customs 1849-1853. He engaged in mercantile pursuits. He died in New London, Connecticut, May 7, 1868. He was interred in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
