Nicole Holness was already familiar to many Canadians prior to the launch of MTV Live. An experienced musician and performer, Nicole was the lead personality in urban/R&B group X-Quisite. X-Quisite's early career was also distinguished by being the #1 Independent Canadian Artist on Canadian radio, with singles such as "No Regrets" (#1 most played song on Canadian radio in 2002), "Bad Girl", and "Sassy Thang" (#3 Canadian CHR) receiving solid support across radio formats.

In addition to the self-titled debut CD, X-Quisite can also be heard on the Planet Pop 4 (BMG) CD, and on hit television shows such as Degrassi: The Next Generation. The next X-Quisite release from Nicole Holness, produced by award-winning producer Trey Mills, is scheduled for 2007.
