Nicolau Coelho

Nicolau Coelho (15th century/16th century) Portuguese explorer who accompanied Pedro Álvares Cabral in the discovery of Brazil in 1500, being one of the captains of the fleet. He was one of the companions of Vasco da Gama in the discovery of the sea route to India in 1498, after what he was created a Nobleman of Coat of Arms new. He married Leonor de Salazar and had issue.
