Nicolas Winding Refn (born September 29, 1970) is a Danish filmmaker who currently resides in Copenhagen, Denmark. He went to the United States in 1981 and was educated at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1993. On one recent occasion, he also acted in a major movie, though this is a rare occurrence.
He is famous for directing the Pusher-trilogy.
